Merry "Christ"mas from the Crass family

Revival

Revival...I have found several definitions of this word, but the one I like best is "to live again." We just came out of revival with Bro. Andy Wells and it was wonderful. He dealt with discouragement, depression, and the devil. I guess that's why that definition seemed so fitting and why I liked it best. The Lord really helped me this week. I don't understand why folks think "revival" has to be hollering and shouting and running the aisles. And while that can be good and has it's place, sometimes the best "revivals" simply come quietly, like God's still small voice that Bro. Wells preached about in I Kings. God strengthens His people gradually, over time...in His time. I am still feasting on the messages I heard this week and am so thankful for them. I always enjoy hearing Bro. Wells bring the Word. I left the meeting with these thoughts...God's too good...Heaven's too sweet...Hell's too hot...and my family's too precious to quit now. And how fitting that we are coming upon the Thanksgiving season because we have so much to thank Him for.

Family day at the park

I love this time of year. I love fall...love the weather...love the leaves...just love it all. Today, we decided to go to the park and spend the day together. Well, some of us anyway. My two bigger boys don't much hang out with us anymore. They work all the time and are just getting their own lives and friends (sigh). But it's a new season for them as well and I'm happy for them. Anyway, my mother in law came with us today and we grilled burgers, the boys fished, and we just had a good time. The weather was perfect.
Well, lookie there...Ryder DID decide to spend a few minutes with us before he went to work lol...he and Gunner are big buddies :)
Ok, so you're prolly wondering...what is that thing floating in the water? Well, those were the worms Gunner threw off the deck. Zek threw his hands up in the air and said, "Well, there goes the worms...no more worms." lol Yep, that Gunner can sure be a mean one.
Such a beautiful day
Oh will my boys ever know how much I love them!!
My precious husband...I just don't know what I'd do without him!

Dollywood

I love Dollywood...love it even more this time of year.  They decorate so beautifully for fall. I enjoy just walking around and seeing the sights.  We went today but it turned out to be a bad day to go. I think everybody in the world was on fall break lol Seriously.. an hour and a half for the Lightning Rod. We're not used to that. Most of the time when we go we hardly wait at all.  Still to this day we have not gotten to ride the Lightning Rod. But we will go back in a few days when folks are back in school. Can't wait to finally ride it :) but it was a beautiful perfect day regardless. I just love taking off and being with my family.

We have found an awesome science curriculum called superchargedscience.com The lady that does it is a NASA scientist. She has dedicated her life to helping kids love science. She offers tons of free science videos, experiments, and lessons to give kids the knowledge they need. I get an email from her almost daily so that I will have all the lessons I need for my kids. She has geared it so that Gunner learns, as well as Braden. We love it. It's awesome. Here's a video from one of their first experiments...a flying contraption that mathematically is not supposed to fly, but it does ;) And we are super pumped about tomorrow. She is doing a live online class in the morning. We can't wait to watch.

Friday, September 30, 2016

Well, I am a year older as of Wednesday. No, I don't feel any different...yes, I'm closer to 40. Why do people say that? lol  Anyway, we got some stressful news this week so it's been a very emotionally draining week. But despite that, God is good...all the time. He has brought me through so much I'm not quitting now and I told the devil so. Our preacher preached two very wonderful sermons on Sunday and then WHAM! The devil sure knows how to mess with us. But I told him he's not getting my family, my joy, or my peace. God is just too good! So we've spent a lot of time as a family this week...talking...being outside...going to the park. Just enjoying being together. Because at the end of the day, that's all that matters. Scott and I have a some decisions to make...things to plan; and we need wisdom and discernment that only God can give. We need lots of prayer at this time. We would greatly appreciate it. God will take care of us. He always has and He always will. Here are a few pictures of some time we spent together this week.

Hey everyone...just got a few pictures for you. Just things that have been going on for the last couple weeks. We started school the day after Labor Day...busy busy busy lol  And we've had a few fun days, too mixed in. Here's some school pictures...as you can see Ryder is hard at work lol

Then on September 16th, Gunner turned 3! He shares the same birthday month with his cousin, Dane so this year Becky and I decided to have their parties together. Here are a few from their Thomas the Train party.

And then last, but definitely not least, just some fun family days we've had together :) Hope you enjoy!
