My mom

March 18th was my mom's birthday. And while I did not forget her birthday, I did fail to write about her.  So many words wrapped up in that tiny woman lol...dependable, loyal, faithful, gracious, godly...the list could just go on. I love my mom so much. Sometimes I think she fails to see how much. And I guess that's my fault. She has always been the greatest example of a wife and mother to me and my sister and now to her granddaughters. I don't ever remember her complaining when I was growing up. I never fully realized the sacrifices she made for us until I was grown and had kids of my own. We were talking the other day about when she used to make mine and Joy's clothes. People sew today because they enjoy it. Mom did it because she had to and I admire and appreciate that. I also am so very thankful that my mom stayed home with us and did not go to work...so rare these days.  She is just such a great woman and lady. I am brought to tears by the fact that God let her be MY mom.

Two years old in the Lord

Two years ago today Daniel asked the Lord to save him. Hallelujah!! Nothing greater than to hear your child give his heart to Jesus. Daniel is such a special kid...bundle of energy...well, he's a fireball is what he is lol  Always trying new stunts, never being still, except when he's asleep. He's the only one who's had a broken bone, stitches, and staples in his head! Like I said he's a fireball!  But I can see the Lord working in his little heart even as young as he is...already concerned for the lost, inviting the neighbor kids to church. And then Sunday morning during invitation our preacher said, "Are you ready to go?" Daniel whispered to me, "I'm ready to go." I tell you this momma was rejoicing.

Publix

Well, I have found a new favorite store at which to coupon. I never thought I could have more fun than I do at Kroger but I was wrong. Kroger is still fun but Publix is way funner. ( and I know that is not a real word) anyway they say on their ad " come in with a list and leave with a smile" that is so true. I mean when I can get Eggo waffles for 23 cents and Huggies wipes for 59 cents and 6 boxes of cereal for 69 cents each and Tropicana orange juice for 33 cents and Mazola cooking oil for 89 cents thats definitely fun grocery shopping. Of course this is not all I bought but I can't possibly list everything. Those are just a few of my favorites. My total before sales and coupons was $112 and I walked out the door only paying $35 and my buggy was full. CVS was also fun this week.  I got two mascaras and 2 deodorants and only paid $1.49. My list for this coming CVS trip is huge...nearly $90 worth of stuff and I'm only going to pay $10 for it. Fun fun fun

Gunner

Got to go outside today and enjoy the beautiful weather. So nice. So thankful its almost springtime. I have a hard time deciding whether spring or fall is my favorite. Spring coming after such cold weather and fall coming after such hot weather. I just love them both I guess. Anyway I started taking a few pictures while our family was strolling down the road this evening and Gunner was just posing so cute they all ended up being of him ;) As I mentioned in an earlier post he is facing surgery on his hand. We've tried our best to have it done locally at Children's but insurance is a problem. So we are going to Vanderbilt in April to see what they can do. Not looking forward to it at all. Please pray for all of us during this time. We sure would appreciate it.
