Homeschool Field Trip

Our homeschooling group went to the Cumberland Mt. State Park today. We were praying the rain would hold off. It sprinkled on the way up, but turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day. We had a picnic and let the kids play a while. Braden's thinking about going down the firepole...he's not so sure about it.
He finally decided to go on down it :)
...and the slide, too :)
This boy loves to climb
My hubby showing off his tennis abilities
Emily and Ryder...not so sure about it
Then after we were all played out, we went to the neatest thing I've ever seen...an honest-to-goodness HUGE treehouse. It's called the 'Minister's Treehouse' and you can look it up online and read more about it. This house was built by a man using scrap pieces of wood, whatever he could find. It was amazing and of course, the kids loved it.
It even had a place for a church service. I really liked this room.

Then here was a homemade swing that my boys loved
Yes, Daddy had to try it, too...It really looked fun
All in all, it was a really good day. We thank the Lord for the sunshine He gave us and I'm so thankful for healthy children that can get out and run and play and enjoy themselves.
