Well, I am a year older as of Wednesday. No, I don't feel any different...yes, I'm closer to 40. Why do people say that? lol  Anyway, we got some stressful news this week so it's been a very emotionally draining week. But despite that, God is good...all the time. He has brought me through so much I'm not quitting now and I told the devil so. Our preacher preached two very wonderful sermons on Sunday and then WHAM! The devil sure knows how to mess with us. But I told him he's not getting my family, my joy, or my peace. God is just too good! So we've spent a lot of time as a family this week...talking...being outside...going to the park. Just enjoying being together. Because at the end of the day, that's all that matters. Scott and I have a some decisions to make...things to plan; and we need wisdom and discernment that only God can give. We need lots of prayer at this time. We would greatly appreciate it. God will take care of us. He always has and He always will. Here are a few pictures of some time we spent together this week.

Hey everyone...just got a few pictures for you. Just things that have been going on for the last couple weeks. We started school the day after Labor Day...busy busy busy lol  And we've had a few fun days, too mixed in. Here's some school pictures...as you can see Ryder is hard at work lol

Then on September 16th, Gunner turned 3! He shares the same birthday month with his cousin, Dane so this year Becky and I decided to have their parties together. Here are a few from their Thomas the Train party.

And then last, but definitely not least, just some fun family days we've had together :) Hope you enjoy!

Well, folks, a lot has happened in the last few weeks. Saddest of all was my wonderful Granny going home to be with the Lord. Not sad for her, of course, but sad for all of us who loved her so much. She was the most precious, sweetest lady that walked this earth. The greatest example of the Proverbs woman. She loved the Lord and her love for her family showed in everything she did. I miss her sweetness so much. I want to be just like her when I grow up :) Here she is with my Papaw who went to Heaven a few years ago.
Our sweet Daniel tuned 11 this week! I know everybody says where has the time gone. But seriously, when we bought our house he was a baby. I just can't believe he's 11 now and about to go into the 6th grade. I mentioned before that he's playing football for Lenoir City. Here's a few pictures from his very first game. They won by the way :) He's the one wearing #18...for Manning when he played for the Broncos :)

Also, this is my last weekend to enjoy myself before we start back homeschooling. Our first day is the day after Labor Day. I am schooling 5 this year and having a toddler in the mix is, to say the least, quite interesting...for lack of a better word lol Ryder is a senior this year, Braden, a junior, Daniel, 6th, Zek, 3rd, and Colt 1st. We're using all different kinds of curriculum this year. I always look on ebay and amazon for deals on school books. I got some great deals this time around. We're using some Bob Jones, Rod and Staff, Alpha and Omega, Math U See, and CLE to name a few. We appreciate prayer for our family as we school this year. I sometime lose focus on why I homeschool in the midst of all the stress and chaos. But I am thankful for the privilege and opportunity and the right to homeschool my children. I'll post more pictures later as we begin our year.

A lot of catching up to do!!

Wow, has it really been 8 months since I blogged! No excuses! Just busy living my life. No time to sit in front of a computer...unless I'm couponing :) Anyway, wanted to share a few things that's been going on here lately. Daniel was baptized in June. He got saved 3 years ago. But was just now ready to take that next step and be baptized. So thankful for Daniel. He's my brave...try anything...not afraid of anything boy!! Love him so much. Can't wait to see what God has planned for his life.

Then he has begun football playing. Yikes! My first football player. He's been begging to play for weeks so we signed him up and he started last week. It's so hot!! But he doesn't care. We are so thankful for a good Christian coach that puts God and family first. Because he will be missing practices when we have revival and youth meetings and such and he totally understands. There's even a couple homeschoolers on the team. So that's cool. Go Daniel!!

Then on June 23rd, Braden turned 16!! He got his license and is driving! Double yikes! Haha Wow! Seriously, where does time go? And on July 6th, Ryder turned 17! They're both driving...both have trucks. Ryder is working constantly. Lord willing, will graduate this year. Braden is a junior. And is looking for a job. My life is very busy. Daniel is going into the 6th grade...Zek 3rd...Colt 1st...and Gunner is just into everything... But hey he potty trained faster than any of my kids. I told my mom it's about time I caught a break lol. I sure do love my family and am so thankful.

Zek

Last week was Thanksgiving and like so many others,  I have so much for which to be thankful. But I wanted to share the greatest news of our family that happened yesterday. . .Zek asked Jesus to save him. He has been asking a lot questions the last several weeks and specifically asked about Heaven and Hell last weekend. So he was ready. He was really listening to the message in church and when invitation time came he wanted to go forward and ask Jesus to save him. I am so thankful for God's faithfulness to my family.

Revival

Our church just had a week long meeting with Bro. Andy Wells. He is a great man of God and a phenomenal preacher. He is so filled with wisdom and knowledge. I'm still feasting on the messages we heard this week.  He dealt with different subjects...things you wouldn't normally call "revival" messages.  But actually if these truths would take root in our hearts they would truly bring revival to our homes, our communities, our churches and our country. He dealt with the real true history of America...the one you don't read in the texts books in America's public schools. He dealt with having charity, being hospitable. . .among other things.  Last night he gave a great sermon on the one sin that you may be passing down to your children and grandchildren causing future generations to consistently struggle in that area. The devil will continue to use that sin if it works to make us fall. We need to "break that chain" as Joseph did in Genesis 39 when he refused to sin in the manner of his forefathers. I'm just so thankful to the Lord for these truths and am praying that He will work them in my heart, my family's heart, the church's heart and let us have revival.

Happy Birthday Colt

Well this little boy is finally 6 years old. I just can't believe it. He has talked about nothing else for the past two months. All he wanted was a new blue bike. He got his wish! Colt is my helper. Willing to drop whatever he's doing and lend a hand. Volunteering for anything that needs doing. He has such a tender heart. So precious. Full of life. Happy Birthday Colt
