Father's Day

Well, yesterday was a wonderful day. I always try to make my husband feel special on Father's Day. He is a wonderful daddy and an awesome husband. He is a big coffee drinker, so I bought him a big mug with lots of pictures on it of special things we've done together as a family. He loved it. Then I bought him a new dress shirt (bright yellow) I also wore a yellow shirt and we got lots of compliments :) We heard a wonderful message. Well, I thought it was wonderful, it was convicting for my husband...just kidding :) Then after church, we went to see my Daddy. For those of you out there that don't know it, I have the most wonderful daddy in the world. He was always so patient with us when we were kids and so consistent and disciplined in his life. I am so grateful for that. It has made me who I am today. I can't get away from my training...after all, the Bible says, "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." Now, as our pastor and many other men of God say, "That doesn't mean they will always abide by it, but it never leaves their minds. It's always there." I'm so thankful for my daddy. Then, we went to church again and went to see Scott's dad, Jack. As always he was pleased to see the kids. They love him. But one thing is missing...Jack does not know the Lord. Please, all who read this, pray for my father-in-law to be saved. All in all, it was an awesome day and I'm so thankful for the great men God has put in my life, but most of all, I'm thankful that God is my Heavenly Father. I'm thankful that I came to know Him as a child. He has been so good to me. I am so blessed.
