As I was sitting in Sunday School yesterday morning, my heart was breaking. There are so many needs, so many hurting hearts, so many heavy burdens. It can get very discouraging listening to all the heavy hearts. But I know God is able to do it all.
Then Olivia got up to play the offertory..."How Great Thou Art" and I was so encouraged in the Lord. God truly is great! God is still on the throne. God is still in control.
Yes, there is wickedness everywhere. Yes, there are wayward children away from God. Yes, there are deaths in our families. Yes, there are heavy burdens that no one knows about but us.
But God is great! He is the same God that parted the waters. He is the same God that made the fleece dry and the ground wet. He is the same God that fed all those thousands of people with only 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. He has healed people from all manner of diseases, made the blind to see, the lame to walk, transformed the lives of the most vilest of sinners.
He is still the same God. And what's more...He cares about us, He loves us, He wants to do great things for us and our families...because He is great.
Let us keep on walking with Him, talking with Him, trusting in Him...
May we always be reminded "How Great Thou Art"
