I love couponing!!

I don't know how many of you are actually seeing my couponing finds but I like to share anyway ;) I love CVS, Kroger, and Ingles. In the picture you can see of few of the best deals I found this week. The Raisin Bran was $1.67 at Ingles. I had a $.50 coupon which doubled making each box only $.67. The pretzels were $2. Also had $.50 coupons making them $1. The popcorn was $.98. I had $.65 coupons so each box was only $.33. The paper towels were $.99. I had $.40 coupons making them $.19. I actually got 3 rolls of towels at this price. Just only showed 1. Then the Farm Rich frozen snacks...you can hardly ever find them under $5. At Publix they are $3.49. I don't have a Publix nearby but Walmart pricematches ads. So that's what I did. And on top of that I had $1.50 coupons. I got 7 boxes. I know they're not healthy at all. But I never buy them bc they're never this price so I treated my family extra special this week :) Then the McCormick taco seasoning was $.50. I had $.50 on 2 coupons which doubled. So I got 8 free! See how much you can save by combining sales and coupons? I'm gonna hit Kroger again this week for their mega event and save 50% It is so much fun!!!

In memory of my grandfather (Papaw Snow)

18 years ago today my Papaw Snow went to be with the Lord. He was shall we say odd about certain things :) I have some funny memories of him. But all who knew him, knew he loved the Lord, loved missionaries, and was faithful to church. But the best thing he ever did, other than ask the Lord to save him, was to give me my daddy...the greatest daddy ever. I'm thankful that I have the Hope that I will see Papaw again one day...I Thessalonians 4:13-18

Back together again

This is the first Sunday that our whole family has been together in church this year. We've battled so much sickness and finally its over and we're all better. Praise the Lord! Thankfully no viruses or flu, but its been bronchitis and Gunner ended up with RSV. Just glad we're all better and able to be back together in church again. Today is youth Sunday so our youth choir sang this morning. What a blessing to see those young lives up there singing about the Lord using them while their hearts are tender. What potential they have if they will surrender to the Lord. Then the pastor preaching on the abundant reaping of a life surrendered to the Lord. This is all I've ever wanted for my children. Education is important, sports are fun, jobs are a necessary part of life. But in the end its a life surrendered to the Lord that really matters.

Couponing

For those who know me well know I love a bargain. I especially love couponing.  I'm talking extreme couponing.  Like getting stuff free couponing...sometimes making a profit couponing. ..or getting items for pennies on the dollar couponing. I love it!!  I literally cringe when I see folks in the store paying full price for things and I'm thinking you could get that a lot cheaper. My favorite place to shop is CVS. My deals this week...4 Speed Stick deodorants, 4 boxes of cereal, 2 Colgate toothpastes, 2 (14 ct.) Tide Pods, 1 2liter pepsi, and 1 dishwashing liquid...grand total spent... $1.45  Yes you read that right!! $1.45  If you want to know how I learned how to do this go to southernsavers.com and watch Jenny's videos. She'll show you everything. It's overwhelming at first and kind of intimidating but I am so glad I took the time to learn. It saves my family so much money. Plus I love it! :) I've included a picture of two of my receipts...notice the balance on both are ZERO before tax :)

Gunner

Gunner has been sick the last several days but it hasn't hindered his personality any. He is still the sweetest most outgoing little feller. He is such a blessing to our home. Please pray for him. He was scheduled to have surgery on his little hand in the morning, but because of his being sick we have had to postpone it. He got his left hand caught in our treadmill back in August. It healed very well, but because of the trauma, he kept his hand bent during the healing process and his two middle fingers are scarred and will not straighten completely.  You can imagine how horrible this has made Scott and I feel. We never dreamed it could do so much damage. But God is still good. Things could be far worse. There's always so much to be thankful for.

Done with facebook

So I finally decided after some soul searching, to get rid of my facebook and instagram accounts. I won't say why. But it wasn't a hasty decision. It took about two months to decide. But I now have peace that I have done what is right for me. So here's hoping to pick my blogging back up to keep in touch with everyone. Happy New Year by the way!! :)
